Jane draws her inspiration from everything that touches her life. |
|
Born and raised in Wilmington, NC, Jane has been involved in the arts for much of her life beginning with music and turning to visual arts as an adult. Before moving to Seattle in 2000, she took classes and workshops at the Art League (Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, VA), University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) and Duke University (Durham, NC). She has also taken classes through the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA. After moving to the Seattle, her career advanced as she was continued to take classes and workshops with Julann Campbell, Ned Mueller, Dorothy Lampl, Gay Faulkenberry, Bill Hosner, Carolyn Anderson and Margaret Dyer. Along with husband, George, and golden retriever, Buddy, Jane resides in Richmond Beach, Washington where she draws much of her inspiration from the views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Working primarily in oils and pastels, Jane vividly portrays the beauty of Northwest scenery as well as anything else that intrigues her in a colorful impressionistic style.
If you see a painting that you would like a print of, go to my site at Fine Art America and see if it is available. If not, let me know and I will try to put it on the site.
